Joseph Frazier Released From Suffering After Four Years of Illness--Funeral Services Saturday Afternoon

Joseph Frazier, a veteran of the Civil War, and well known as an old resident of Whittier, died at the Soldiers' Home Thursday morning, aged 72 years, having been ill of paralysis for about four years.

Until recently he occupied his home in Whittier, where in his infirmity, and helplessness during the latter part of his illness, he was devotedly and tenderly cared for by his wife and children. Four weeks ago he was taken to, the Soldiers' Home, where he steadily sank until the end came.

The deceased was a devout Christian in membership with the Holiness church, and was honoured and esteemed by all. The Funeral service, under direction of Undertaker D. H. White, will be conducted at the Holiness church in Whittier at 2:30 p. m. Saturday.

The immediate family that mourn the loss of a devoted husband and father are the widow, sons Fred and A. M. Frazier of Los Angeles, daughters, Mrs. Dora Harpin of Sawtelle. Mrs. Jacob Haworth of Los Angeles and Mrs. Mattie Cloose of Kansas.
