Richard Louis Hoffman died on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at his home in Ogilvie. He was 79 years old.
Richard was born on October 30, 1941 in Hutchinson, MN to Louis and Helen (Kuras) Hoffman. His family moved to the Ogilvie area when he was 8 years old. In 1964 he was drafted into the United States Army. After his discharge he was united in marriage to Nancy LaPiere on September 9, 1966. They continued to make their home in Ogilvie.
Richard worked as a mechanic and could fix just about anything. He enjoyed farming, hunting and tinkering with building and building repair. He was very much a "Hands On" guy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Helen; daughter, Tammy Hoffman; brothers, Wallace and Robert Hoffman.
Richard is survived by his children, Cynthia (Joe) Corrow of Ogilvie, Todd (Wendi Wicktor) Hoffman of Princeton, Christopher (Robin) Hoffman of Ogilvie and Adam (Kristie) Hoffman of Foley; his siblings, Mary (Richard) Evenson, Louise (Laird) Mork, Antonia (Dean) Dickenson, Beverly Haapoja, Henry Hoffman and Linda Huf; eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Richard's home: 1364 220th Ave, Ogilvie.
