SOMONAUK - Flo Adkins, 95, of Somonauk, formerly of LaForge, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 7, in Somonauk. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at First Apostolic Church in Sandwich with the Rev. John William Davis officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid, Mo. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Visitation also will be from 11a.m.to 2p.m. Saturday at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid. Local arrangements were handled by Turner Funeral Home in Somonauk. Mrs. Adkins was born Oct. 3,1911, in Harmony, Ark.,to John A. Adkins and Lura Porter Adkins. She is survived by a brother, John A. Adkins Jr. of Merced, Calif.; and a sister-in-law and caretaker, Doris Adkins of Somonauk, with whom she resided for the last 20 years. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Deulah Adkins; and many brothers and sisters, including Jack and Ivan Adkins and Eula Jean Kumlien.
