Beulah Katherine Parker, 56, of Kurtz, died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, April 20, at the Jackson County Hospital. She had been ill six months. She was a member of the Kurtz Nazarene Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Owen Township Volunteer Fire Department. She was born May 31, 1921, to the late Ralph A. and Sarah K. Bowman Hanner. She was married in December 1938 to Bain William Parker, who survives. Other survivors include a son, William Larry Parker, of Brownstown Rt. 1; six brothers, Rev. Lewey Hanner, of Detroit, Mich., Chester Hanner, of Venice, Fla., . Lester and Eldon Hanner, both of Norman Rt. 1, Glenn Hanner, of Nashville, Ind., and Woodrow Hanner, of Norman; three sisters, Mrs. Lark Harrell, of Bedford, Mrs. Ethel Norman, of Norman, and Mrs. Glenn Fish, of Columbus; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. One brother preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Saturday, April 22, from the Kurtz Nazarene Church, with the Rev. Donald Canaday and Darrell Winenger officiating. Burial will be in the Kurtz Cemetery. Friends may call at the Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown, until noon on Saturday, and from 1 p.m. until time of the service at the church. Memorials may be designated to the Kurtz Nazarene Church Building Fund.
