The first to migrate to the United States in 1837, Georg Heinrich Maier, went by the name of Henry. He had a large family of 14 sons! The first 3 sons were born in Germany and migrated to Baltimore Maryland with his spouse.

This memorial is a tribute to the Myers family pioneer. Him and his wife are buried at a family cemetery located on Old Oak Road off of New Cut Road in Northern Anne Arundel County.
