Bentley Old Timer Dies on Saturday - Mrs John Ebeling, a well respected resident of the Gull Lake district, passed away at the Bentley Hospital on Saturday. June 24, following an illness of several months duration. Nancy Mahala Green was born in Frankford. Ontario, July 30, 1862. In 1889 she married James McKee, They came to Manitoba in 1901 and remained there until 1904 when they came to Alberta, arriving in Red Deer on Christmas Day. They homesteaded north of Sylvan Lake where Mr. McKee died in February, 1916. In November, 1917, Mrs. McKee married Mr. John Ebeling, who passed on in 1938. She experienced the hardships of pioneer life and was a hard worker and industrious. She leaves two sons, John and Allen McKee. Bentley, and three daughters. Mrs. Maggie Byttynen of Sylvan Lake North. Alice McKee at home, and another married daughter, formerly Minnie McKee. There are several grandchildren. Funeral services were held on June 24 from the Bentley Community Hall, and interment took place in the Bentley Cemetery.
