He was employed for 25 years for Kimble Glass, retiring in 1992, where he assisted in the setting up of making glass vials for medications. He was a member of the Harvest Community Church, Pierceton. Thomas was known as the self-described Mayor of Pierceton, which always brought smiles to people's faces. He loved his little chihuahua "Taco". He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats Basketball fan.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Malta Sue Walters, of Pierceton; children, Thomas (Susan) Walters Jr., Palestine, Patricia Conn, Martin, KY, Deborah (Jack) Walker, Huntertown, IN, Jeff (Annette) Walters, Winona Lake, Tammy Rex, Argos, Mike Walters, Palestine, Cindy (Stan) Curry, Emma, KY, Betty (Jerry) Henline, Warsaw, Sharon (Doug) Slusher, Pierceton, Harold (Rose) Walters, Kalamazoo, MI, and Charlie (Christy) Walters, Larwill. In addition, he is survived by a sister, Jaunita Goble, of Emma, KY, 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons-in-law, Burl Conn and Joe Rex, siblings, Edgel, Opal, Ashland, Wyman, Jack, and Julia Walters.
