Delores's obituary
Delores Kay Moore, 71, passed away on October 19, 2020 in Houston, TX. Kay was born on March 30, 1949 and raised in Charleston, WV. She was predeceased by her parents William D Rock and Lillian Rock (Wheeler) and her husband Fred Moore. She is survived by her sons Joseph Congiundi (wife Jessica) and Anthony Congiundi (wife Erika), her four grandchildren, Chloe, Lilah, Leo, and Matthew, her sister, Alecia Rock, and brother, Gary Settle (wife, Rosie).

Kay graduated from Charleston High School and attended West Virginia University Institute of Technology. She enjoyed her time growing up in West Virginia. She reminisced about her younger years spent at Black Water Falls with her sister and family, and what a wonderful life she had.

After college, Kay settled in Houston to raise her sons and worked as a long time employee at Reliant Energy. Kay was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured and deeply loved her children and embraced every moment with them. She also loved being a grandma to her grandchildren. Those who loved her will remember her kindness, laughter, humor, love, and caring nature. In her retirement, she enjoyed family, cooking, nature, animals of all kind, knitting, reading, and gardening. She devoted much of her time and energy to family members.

Per Kay's wishes, there will be no public service. A private Celebration of Life event will follow at a later date. The family would like to thank you in advance for respecting their privacy during this time.
