Steve was a lifetime resident of Northern Virginia, born May 14, 1954 at Alexandria Hospital, growing up in Woodbridge, Virginia. Steve (and his father) were active in Boy Scout Troop and Explorer Post 1149, where he earned his Eagle Scout in 1970. He attended Woodbridge High School playing varsity football, go Vikings. He graduated from George Mason University in 1976, where he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. He served proudly later as President of the TKE Alumni Association. Steve was known among his Fraternity Brothers as "Turkey", his smile and laugh were infectious.
He was an avid sports enthusiast supporting GMU athletics, the Washington Nationals and the Washington Capitals.
We all share memories of his kindness, loyalty and dedication to friends, family, church and other organizations. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
A funeral mass will be held at Saint Mary of Sorrows Church at 5222 Sideburn Road, Fairfax, VA, April 23rd at 1:00 p.m. followed by a burial at historic Saint Mary of Sorrows Church, located at Fairfax Station Road and Ox Road.
