Beverly Damen Casey, 82, departed this life on April 13, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was predeceased by her sister, Sandra fester. Beverly was the beloved wife of Thomas Casey and loving and devoted aunt and step-mother to niece, Darcy Grimes; nephew, Scott Czarnota and step-son, Peter Damen. Beverly was born in Meriden, CT to Walter and Eleanor Weitzel and was educated in the Meriden school system. She continued her education, earning a Bachelors Degree at Wheelock College in Boston, MA. Subsequently she earned a Masters Degree from Fairfield University and a Doctor of Education from Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Damen was a respected educator, working first as a teacher and then principal in the Hamden, CT school district. Her pride was in her school and students, and she shared her passion for learning with thousands of children over the years. Additionally, she was the first woman president of the Hamden Rotary and an active member of the Cheshire Lions Club. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11 AM at In Memoriam Cemetery, 18 Maplewood Ave., Wallingford, CT.
