Hutchinson - Robert Conway "Bob" Hornbeck, 87, died April 14, 2021, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born July 27, 1933, in Chanute, to George and Jane (Hamill) Hornbeck.
Bob graduated from Hutchinson High School and worked over 25 years for Panhandle Eastern. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On August 13, 1955, he married Norma June Buckley, in Partridge. They shared over 62 years of marriage before her death on January 17, 2018.
Bob is survived by: children, Phillip Hornbeck (Cindy) of Partridge and Phyllis Keffer (Doyle) of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Ben Hornbeck (Amber) of Hutchinson, Mollie Keffer of Kansas City, MO, and Josh Powell (Lindsay) of Hutchinson; great-grandchildren, Carter Hornbeck, and Jordan, Noah, Landyn, and Alissa Powell; brother, Wayne Hornbeck (Rachel) of Hutchinson: brother-in-law, Lyle Buckley (Athelyn) of Bella Vista, AR; sisters-in-law, Mary Love of Partridge and Mary Hornbeck of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Carl, Jack, Oscar, Ray Paul, Jim, and Gary; and sisters, Roberta, Helen, Betty, Marge, and Mary Jane.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Jerry Stokely officiating. Burial will follow in Partridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
