Ernest Eugene Johnson Jr. was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 23, 1946 to Ernest Johnson Sr. and Roby (Rucks) Tucker. He departed this life on Friday, April 16, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Ernest was affectionately called "Papa" by his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
He faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force for 23 years, 9 months, and 8 days until his retirement on July 1, 1988. Ernest was a proud brother of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. He was also employed by Methodist Hospital as a hospital administrator. After that he worked for the State of Nebraska in both adult and child protective services.
Ernest earned his Masters Degree in Counseling from Creighton University. He was a faithful member of The Worship Center where he served as a member of the Men's Ministry.
