Born in Portland, ME, he was a son of the late Clinton and Lillian Harmon of Hollis Center, ME. He served two years in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and four years in the U.S. Air Force. Jim retired from 3M Company and was a long-time dedicated member of Pelzer First Baptist Church. Serving as a Deacon for 40 years and Sunday School Teacher of the Men's Fellowship Class.
In addition to his wife of 65 years, he is survived by children, Tony and Blanche Harmon of Sierra Vista, AZ, Terry and Terri Blackston, Tim and Millie Harmon, and Todd and Emily Harmon of Williamston; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; sister, Lois Edelson of Canada; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by daughter, Tammy Anthony; grandson, Ross Anthony; and brother, Alvin Harmon.
