She was born on September 3, 1935, in Anderson.
Shirley graduated from Anderson High School.
She was a member of several bowling leagues for over 58 years, where she served as secretary for many of them. She was inducted into the Anderson Bowling Association Hall of Fame, which was a very proud moment. She was known for her cooking, yard work, quick-wit, and being ornery. She also enjoyed traveling with family and friends including Hawaii, Alaska, and the Caribbean.
Shirley is survived by her sons, Jim Hamilton (Gina Kepner) and John (Brenda) Hamilton; sisters, Betty Shuman, Carolyn Burns; grandchildren, Jason Hamilton, Kimberly Hamilton, Corey Hamilton, Joshua (Kayleigh) Hamilton, a great-grandson, Adler Hamilton; several nieces and nephews, best friends, Betty Owen, Diane Augustinovicz, and Dave Cave.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Hellems, mother, Martha Hellems; husband, Paul "Charlie" Hamilton, sisters, Norma Isanogle, Virginia Cripps, and Janet Allmond.
Services will be Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at 2:30 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park following the service.
