Laura Ella Davis, age 82, of Douglasville, Georgia, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021. A native of Hazard, Kentucky, she was born May 15, 1938 to the late Claude and Minnie (Fox) Davis. Family was everything to Laura. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and "Mimi" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David J. Tucker; a granddaughter, Kimberly Marie Pollard; and her brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of more than twenty years, Martin Martinez of Douglasville, Georgia; daughters, Pamela (Derek) Kamplain of Lakeland, Florida, Teresa Crowe of Rock Spring, Georgia, and Sherri (Scott) Brambilla of McDonough, Georgia; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members.
A funeral mass is planned for Friday, April 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Douglasville. A burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park and Mausoleum, 6841 Tara Boulevard, McDonough, Georgia 30236. A reception will follow after the burial at The Brambillas, 20 Green Valley Circle, McDonough, Georgia 30252.
