She is the beloved wife of the late Albert F. Pickard, Sr. of Biloxi and the daughter of the late Clara Roberts and William Graves.
Marlene leaves her beloved children, Susan (Jerry) Roberts, Jill (Ken) Ward, Gina (Mark) Taliancich and Troy (Alexia) Clemens; her stepchildren, Gay Myers, Patti Holliman, Maria Underwood, Bert Pickard, II and Adelaide McNellis; her grandchildren, Jordan (Bronson) Quave, Kyle Ward, Jake and Wade Taliancich, Seanna Clemens, Kristen Myers, Pete (Larkin) Myers, Matthew Holliman, Bert (Leigh) Pickard, Natalie (Darrin) Hardesty, Jessica (Todd) Gollott, Benjamin (Leah) Pickard, Michael McNellis, Chelsea (Nick) Perniciaro and Beau (Valeri) Underwood; and her great-granddaughter, Ryann Quave.
Marlene leaves behind her brother, William (Melinda) Graves; and her sisters, Lois (Dick) Belvel, Elaine (Wesley) Winterstein and Sheila (Bill) Gillies. She was predeceased by her brother, Dane Graves.
Marlene was a graduate of D'Iberville High School Class of 1959, and always remained close to her classmates. Her love of school and reading never ended. Marlene went on to earn a Master's Degree in Education and a Specialist degree at USM. She then returned to USM, where she earned and was awarded a Ph.D. in Education Administration in 2011. She is a lifetime member of the Alumni Association of USM. An avid reader of books, education was always very important to her.
Funeral Services will be held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Pass Road in Biloxi on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time.
Interment will follow at Coalville Cemetery.
