Sandy was as sweet a dog as you would ever care to meet. She was a pure-blooded Vizsla that her mistress Nancy rescued from the backdoor of a restaurant where she was begging scraps.

Sandy was apparently once valued by someone as she had a tattoo, #4462TIN. The tattoo agency tried in vain to contact Sandy's original owner, who had given her the name Maddie.

Sandy joined our family at about age 10. She grew on our hearts and the neighbors enjoyed her as well. Old age crept up on her and it became apparent she had run her course. We take great joy in knowing that we gave her four quality years of life in a loving, safe, and healthy home. As her health deteriorated, Sandy was comforted by 1-year old "little sister" Josephine Bernardette King, a Bassett Hound. Josephine was merely returning the favor that Sandy had offered Daisy at Daisy's untimely passing.

Sandy will long be loved and remembered.
