Elmer, "Dave" H. Davis, Jr., 84, died April 15, 2021 at The Arbors, Hutchinson. He was born August 3, 1936 in Granbury, TX the son of Elmer H. and Thelma Ione Carter Davis, Sr. He was a graduate of Granbury High School and had attended Texas Tech University. He was the owner of Murdy Motors, Hoisington, KS, until 1988, then had a successful sales career until he retired in 2007. Dave loved spending time with family and grandchildren and golf.
He married Jane Murdy on May 23, 1962 in Houston, Texas. She died in 2007 after 45 years of marriage.
Survivors include 2 sons, Scott (Sylvia) Wallace, Houston, TX and Rusty (Sheri) Davis, Syracuse, Utah; 3 daughters, Missy (Doug) Ricken, Las Animas, CO, Jennifer (Jeff) Thomas, Allen, TX, and Dana (Jamie) Copple, Hutchinson; grandchildren, Amanda Long, Kyle (Lexie) Davis, Kayla (Justin) Glover, Alisa (Justin) Martinez, Riley and Dawson Dreher, and John and Victoria Brungardt; and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jane; a brother Frank Davis; and a grandson, Andrew Ricken.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Inman Funeral Home, Inman.
