On September 28, 1828, Sarah Stonecypher Fuller was born in Rabun County, Georgia, in Burton, which was flooded by the creation of Lake Burton. Her parents were James Thomas Stonecypher and Mary Patsy (Morris) Stonecypher. Sarah would marry Samuel Mattison Fuller on July 31, 1845. Before Sarah died on January 10, 1865, at the young age of 37, the couple is believed to have had around six children. The names of the recorded children are as follows: Nancy Adeline Fuller, Emor Fuller, Lucy Fuller, James Andrew Fuller, Mary Emor Fuller, and Thomas Franklin Fuller.

Unfortunately, Sarah Stonecypher Fuller is buried in an unmarked grave since her original burial place was relocated to Burton Cemetery with no record of its location within the cemetery
