Rose Veronica Stevens died on April 10, 2021 died peacefully in sleep. She was 95 years old.

Born in Queens and raised in Catskill, Rose was the daughter of the late Florence (Barra) and Oreste Passaretti. She was a graduate of Catskill High School and after college in Worcester, MA she went to work for the State of New York. Rose worked in the Division of Criminal Justice, SUNY Central and for New York Network.

Rose was an avid bowler, golfer and loved playing cards with the girls on Saturday night. She belonged to the Red Hat Society and was active in her craft club. She loved to go to the casinos and her daily Manhattan at 5p.m. the latter, a tradition she was actually able to keep up on thanks to a prescription from her good-natured doctor.

Rose will be remembered for her sass and her class and her independent streak.

Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 30 years, Robert Stevens. She is survived by her sons, Robert Stevens and his wife Sandy of Albany, NY and Richard and his wife Christin of Nahant, MA; and her granddaughters, Emily and Chloe. She was the sister of the late Anthony Passaretti and Joseph Passaretti.

Rose will be buried at Memory Gardens, services will be held privately.
