Obituary of Keith Alva Summers
Keith Alva Summers, 83, of Athens, passed away Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Mary's Hospice House.
Born in Oconee County, Mr. Summers was a son of the late Emory Summers and Ida Hale Kilgo. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting and saltwater fishing, and loved to aggravate people!
In addition to his parents, Mr. Summers was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Greg Caudell and his German Shepherd, Rommel.
Survivors include his wife, Sigrid Leota Mayer Summers; children, Henri Grissino-Mayer (Brandi) of Tennessee, Mike Grissino (Pam) of Townsend, Bambi Caudell of Jefferson and Shannon Summers of Athens; brothers, Tommy Crawford of Athens and Mike Crawford of Bremen; grandchildren, Maya, Zane, Alex and Noah Grissino-Mayer, Eric Grissino, Brandy Davis, Mitchell Howard, Brittany Rogers, Brianna Gordon, Devin Edwards, B.J. Smith and Hunter and Arianna Summers; great-grandchildren, Micah, Piper, Kyle, Cassidy, Sophia, Colt, Tessa, Ryder and Asher.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family expresses special thanks to hospice nurse Linda Zacker and caregiver Linda Stephens.
