Patty Schultz, 92, of rural Akron, Indiana passed at 7:57 am, Friday, April 16, 2021 at her daughter's residence.

Patty was born on Dec. 21, 1928 in LaPorte County, Indiana to the late Morris Eugene Sr. and Ruth Evelyn (Danielson) Alger. She married on Aug. 22, 1954 in Springville, Indiana to Zeno William Schultz, he preceded her in death on Feb. 29, 2008.

She was a 1946 graduate of Springville High School. She then graduated from Manchester College in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. She started teaching school in Michigan City and then in Rochester. After eight years of teaching she started her family. She enjoyed her time raising her family on the farm.

Patty and Zeno owned and operated the The Farmer's Daughters Cafe in Akron for 20 years. Patty attended the Akron Church of God starting in 1962. She loved to draw and enjoyed flowers very much. She also raised ponies with her husband, and at one point had as many as 33 on the farm.

Patty is survived by daughters Charlotte and husband Duane Hammond Akron, Ind., Mary Jo and husband John Riffle, Macy, Ind., and Jo Ellen and husband Scott Seagrave, Ft. Wayne, Ind.; grandchildren Arissa, Vanessa, Trevor, Andrea, Jessica, Tyler Schultz, Henry, Rena, and Holly; great grandchildren Luna, Devan, Romelia, Hunter, Jackson, Caden, Cora Jo, Evelyn Mae, Hudson, and Lucy; a sister Sharon Kay Alger Greenville, Ill., and a brother Morris Eugene Alger, Jr., Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Zeno, sisters Ruth Lee Alger and Joan Deckard.
