Frank Bohac was born in Chicago, Ill., April 2 1868, and died at the home of his brother, Adolph near Crete, Saturday, July 12, at the age of 62 years, 3 months and 10 days. When two years old, his parents came to Nebraska from Chicago, and took up a homestead near Crete, where they lived for several years.
Frank was graduated from Crete high school and also attended Doane college for about two years. After finishing his education he accepted a position with the bank in Ravenna, Nebr., where he worked for many years. Later he moved to Cripple Creek, Colo., where he lived for 30 years. Two years ago he came back to Nebraska to make his home with his brother.
He leaves to mourn his departure: three brothers, Joseph of Olympia Wash., Anton of Omaha, and Adolph of Crete; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Zitek of Tyndall, S.D., Mrs. Anna Sedlacek and Mrs. Aneska Daniel, of Crete. HIs brother Karel passed away four years ago; a sister, Mrs. Frances Kulhanek, passed away 34 years ago, and a sister, Mrs. Antonie Luzum, 31 years ago.
His parents, Frank and Frances Bohac, who were among the first Nebraska pioneers, passed away many years ago.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, July 14, from the home of his brother, Adolph, with Rev. K. O. Zavadil officiating. Interment was in Blue Valley cemetery, south of Crete.
