Joan was the devoted wife of Rick S. Ford for 56 years. She was the beloved mother of Lisa Wilson (John) of Hainesport, and Rick J. Ford (Sarah) of Washington DC, and Scott Ford (Susan) of Mount Laurel. Cherished grandmother of JP Wilson, Collin Wilson, and Gary Kempton. Dear sister of Margie Mullens (Bo), the late John Garbe (Sherry), the late Kate Garbe and the late Rob Garbe. Joan also treasured her many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Joan's happiest moments were being a homemaker. If you are from the Riverside area chances are you had a cake baked and decorated by Joan and her mother Pearl. Joan, lovingly referred to as "Joaner", always welcomed everyone into the Ford household and made them feel special. Joaner was a second mom to all. Joan was an active member of the Riverside Historical Society, Saint Peter's Church, the PTA and The Girlfriend's Club. Joan was proud to be on the sidelines cheering on her kids and grandchildren at every sporting event. Dancing was a big part of Joan's life and she loved to jitterbug the night away.
Mass of Christian Burial for Joan will be on Monday, April 26, at 10:30am at Resurrection Parish, Holy Name Church, 260 Conrow Rd., Delran, NJ 08075. A burial service will be at Lake View Memorial Park following the church service.
