Bernice Jones Risinger, 81, of Pendleton, Kentucky passed away at her home on Thursday, April 15, 2021. She was born on December 3, 1939 in Edmonson County, Kentucky to the late Carl and Grace Meredith.
Bernice Meredith married Jack Cox Jones in Oldham County, Kentucky on November 10, 1956.
Bernice worked for Tredagard, enjoyed her animals and being outside.
She is preceded in death by her husband; David Risinger and sisters; Charlene Sharp and Sissy Parrish.
Left to cherish the memory of Bernice are her daughters; Sheila Newton (Bill), Sandy Wernert (Tom) and Kathy Jones, 4 grandchildren; Jordan Newton (Sarah), Krysta Wernert (David Borst), Tyler Capps and Kasey Wernert, 4 great-grandchildren; Peyton Young, Copeland Newton, Harlow Newton and Luke Borst, siblings; Peter Meredith (Dorothy), Tommy Meredith (Terri), Ronnie Meredith (Carla), Gene Meredith (Nat), Carl Ray Meredith, Eva Walton and Linda Bradshaw (Brad), several nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held for Bernice at Heady-Radcliffe Funeral Home, 706 W Jefferson St, LaGrange, KY on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Noon with entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10am until the start of the service.
