Richard was a 1955 graduate of Bellefonte High School. He was the owner/operator of the Sunoco Service Station and Towing Service in Lamar for many years. He then went to work for John Spearly Construction from where he later retired.
He is survived by three children, Teresa K. "Terri" Lucas (Raymond "Mooch") of Runville, SuLainne F. Watson (Mark) of Millsboro, DE, and Richard F. Fisher, Jr.; Four grandchildren: Lindsay Brower (Hank) of Spokane, WA, Tyler Lucas (Alaina) of Runville, Matthew Watson and Gregory Watson of Bellefonte; four great-grandchildren: Levi Brower, Olivia Brower, Gracie Lucas, Micah Lucas, and another baby Lucas due in October. Also surviving are four sisters: Helen Webster, Janet Hoover, Francis LaCavera, and Susan Motella, and two brothers, Ken Fisher and Jack Fisher. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Ziva.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
Richard was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #1094 in Bellefonte, and the Logan Grange.
Funeral Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Richard's memory to Elks Lodge #1094 at 120 W. High Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823 or Centre County PAWS at 1401 Trout Road, State College, PA 16801.
