Obituary: MICHAEL JOHN GROSS:
Age 75 of Chesaning passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019 at his home. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at St. Michael's Catholic Church of Maple Grove with Father Bob Byrne and Father John Cotter concelebrating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Homes Martin Chapel on Wednesday, June 12 from 3:00 to 8:00pm with a Rosary prayed at 8:00pm. Visitation will also be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00am until the service.
Michael was born on June 29, 1943 to Harold J. and Bernarda Gross in Maple Grove Township. He married Kay Ann Whittier on May 23, 1964; they celebrated 55 years of marriage this year. Michael worked for General Motors in Flint for 30 years before retiring. 
Michael was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Parish and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 56 years. He was very involved in K of C activities and especially loved hosting parties for people with special needs at the K of C Hall. Michael enjoyed camping, traveling, and most of all, being with his family.
Michael is survived by his wife, Kay A. Gross; his children, Michael Gross, Julie Mulcahy (Eric Wallace), Timothy (Tracy) Gross, and Heidi Gross (Gary Howard); his brother, LaVern Gross; his grandchildren, Briana, Shayla, Hannah, and Connor Mulcahy, Kody, Katrina, Jacob, and Sophie Gross, and Michael, Mason, Cassidy, and Jacob Peterson; his great-grandchild, Camryn Flowers; his sister-in-law, Debra (Gross) Hird; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents; his grandson, Brandon Gross; his brothers, Bernard, Kenneth, Dennis, and Arnold Gross; his sisters, Shirley Birdsley, infants Nancy Gross, and Judy Gross; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Gross, Francis Gross, and Ruthan (Gross) Lucius.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Knights of Columbus or Maple Grove Senior Center.
