TECUMSEH – Larry Munro Sneed, 77, of Tecumseh, died in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at the Hospice of Lenawee Home, with his loving family by his side.

Born on September 20, 1943 to E.L. and Melba (Jones) Sneed of Erwin, Tennessee. Larry and his family moved to Michigan when he was young, settling in Adrian where he attended and graduated from Adrian High School.

On July 28, 1967 Larry was united in marriage to Frances Vance, and they have been blessed with 53 years together. Larry's family meant the world to him and he treasured all the moments they shared.

Larry retired from the Ford Rawsonville plant in Ypsilanti after 31 years of dedication. He worked another 13 years as a courier for United Bank and Trust, where the camaraderie was just the best. There was nothing like goodies on Fridays, and the many laughs shared over the years were treasured memories. Larry left UBT to provide ongoing care to his beloved mother, Melba, who was still at home. Larry was a member of Redemption Outreach Center, formerly Adrian Church of God. Larry's church family changed his life, his faith kept him strong up until the end even when he was physically unable to attend church. A sports fan all the way, Larry attended Toledo Mud Hen games with his church buddies and had ongoing sports discussions with his son where they joked with each other on who was the better team. He appreciated muscle cars and shared this passion with his daughter Christy. You could often find Larry outside mowing his lawn, feeding the birds, or just enjoying nature and taking time to fish. Larry and Fran created their own piece of Paradise on their three acres where they lovingly planted and cared for their trees, gardens and pond.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; their children, Christy (Howard) Crick of Tecumseh and Nick Sneed (Cari Merritt) of Tecumseh; grandchildren, Zachary (Kaylie) Waters and Kaylynn Sneed; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Jaxson Waters; brother, Dan (Betty) Sneed and brother-in-law, Jim Vance. Larry was preceded in death by his parents,

A special thank you to Bishop Scott Tysick for the many talks, "Dad jokes", and all the support you have given to Larry over the last couple of years.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Wagley Funeral Home, Adrian, with ROC pastor, Bishop Scott Tysick officiating. Burial will follow at Lenawee Hills Memorial Park.
