Kathy Sue Cherry, 64, of North Vernon, passed away at 7:49 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at her residence.

Kathy was born on March 15, 1957, in Columbus, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Louise (Purdue) Six. She married Dallas Cherry on March 14, 1975 at the Bethel Baptist Church in North Vernon; he survives.

Kathy was a 1975 graduate of Jennings County High School and worked as a press operator for Valeo-Sylvania, retiring in 2012 after 25 years.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dallas Cherry; son, Leroy Lanham Cherry of North Vernon; daughter, Tonya Deanne Myers of North Vernon; brother, Mike Mars of Madison; sister, Linda (Esker) Moberly of North Vernon; grandchildren, Stephanie Myers of Georgia, Kaitlyn Myers and Evelyn Wilson, all of North Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Jeanette Wilson and brother, Tony Mars.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 19, 2021, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon. Visitation will be on Monday, April 19, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Scipio.
