He attended Northern Michigan University for several years, and was drafted at age 20 to to serve in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam. He worked in radio communications on the USS Paricutin. After service, he went back to college at Eastern Michigan University. He met Delle through a mutual friend and they were married on October 26, 1973. He founded Taylor Construction Company. His career changed to financial investments and forecasting technology, and he published two books. Survivors include his wife, Delle Taylor; daughter, Marjorie Taylor Greene (Perry); son, David Taylor (Susan); and three grandchildren, Lauren, Taylor, and Derek Greene.
