Gladys was the daughter of Richard Forrester and Clementine (Vandergrift) Forrester.

On November 13, 1913, Gladys and Troy Crosby McDaniel were united in marriage in Chattanooga, Comanche County, Oklahoma. They had four sons, all ministers.

4--Richard Erving Dixon [1921-2010]

OBITUARY:

MRS. McDANIEL SERVICES HELD TUESDAY

Services for Mrs. Gladys Sarah McDaniel, who died Saturday in a Chickasha Hospital after a prolonged illness were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Assembly of God Church in Minco.

Rev. Gene Richey, assisted by Clyde Ventris officiated at the services. Singers were: Janet Pendley, Polly Crumm, Joe Coy, and Wanda Garrett. Their selections were "What A Friend", Rock of Ages" and "Where We'll Never Grow Old". Pianist was Dianna O'Daniel.

Pallbearers were Adrian Garrett, Jack Pendley, Howard O'Daniel, Donald Harris , Don Coy, and Loyd Warren.

Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery of Minco under the direction of the Reynolds Funeral Home.

Gladys Sarah Forrester McDaniel was born Oct. 13, 1896 in San Jose, California and departed this life July 13, 1957 at a Chickasha Hospital at the age of 60 years, 9 months.

Gladys Forrester lived in San Jose, California in early childhood and moved to Chattanooga, Oklahoma at the age of 12. She was united in marriage to Troy McDaniel Nov. 13, 1913 at Frederick, Okla. (This should have been Chattanooga, Comanche County, Oklahoma.) They moved to Minco in 1928 where she resided at the time of death. Gladys was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Minco.

She is survived by her husband, T.C. McDaniel of the home address, Ralph of Minco; Clarence of Raisin City, Calif., Myrle of Midland, Texas; and Richard of Sapulpa, Okla. One brother Fred Forrester, Odessa, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Ben Floyd of Earlsboro, Okla. Mrs. William Morse of Tulsa. Twenty grandchildren and a host of friends.

Gladys was married to my Grand-Uncle.
