Glen Darrell Ford, 85, of Seymour, IN passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021. He was born in 1935 in Oldham, KY to the late L.B. and Hazel (Bennett) Ford. He was baptized in 1950 at the Blue River Christian Church in Salem, IN.

On October 30, 1954 he married Bonnie Jean Brown at Mill Creek Baptist Church in Salem, IN. He and Bonnie became members of Zion Lutheran Church on August 20, 1995.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Gloria Jean (Keith) (Ford) Spurgeon, and Glenda Carol (Jon) (Ford) Weiner: five grandchildren Amanda (Greg)(Spurgeon) Orr, Chris (Sarah) Spurgeon, Malinda Weiner; Nicholas (Stephanie)Weiner; Andrew Weiner: Four great grandchildren; Tyler Orr; Abby Orr; Charlie Spurgeon; Ben Spurgeon; and one brother Leon Ford.

During his lifetime he worked at Smith Cabinet Factory and as a delivery man for Salem Creamery and Bowman Dairy, both residential and wholesale milk routes. The remainder of his career was spent as a salesman and manager for Western Southern Life Insurance.

He enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher, but his favorite activity was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing, camping, going to auctions, and having garage sales. Glen enjoyed being around people and will be greatly missed by family and all the friends who knew him.

Friends may call on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Voss & Sons Funeral Service from 5-7pm.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church in Seymour at 10:30am with visitation prior to service starting at 9:30am conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service.

Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran School.

Masks are required as well as social distancing within the building. Cards and notes of condolence are most welcome.

All arrangements have been entrusted to Voss & Sons Funeral Service in Seymour.
