Joyce Arlene (Clark) Gregory, 79, of Crescent, Oklahoma passed away on April 12, 2021 in Blue Eye, Missouri. She is the daughter of the late Glenn and Arlene (Sires) Clark.
Joyce was born May 13, 1941 and raised in Guthrie, OK. In 1957, Joyce met Darrell Gregory at the Sonic where she was a carhop. They married in 1958 and were married for 53 years.
They moved to Braman, OK to operate the family farm. They farmed wheat and cattle. In 1965 they moved to Crescent, OK to farm and raise their family.
Joyce attended Redlands Community College receiving her LPN degree. She attended Langston University and received her RN degree. She worked in many areas of nursing including the Burn Unit at Baptist Hospital. She also worked at Midwest City Hospital, Guthrie Hospital, Presbyterian Hospital and retired from the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City. After retirement, she worked in the nursing home in Crescent because she loved taking care of people.
Joyce enjoyed being with her family. Even though she had been diagnosed with congestive heart failure, she loved traveling and wanted to continue for as long as she could. She was traveling and having fun when she passed.
Joyce and Darrell were blessed with 3 children, Mark and Terri Gregory of Crescent, OK; Tonya and Sammy Hill of Blue Eye, MO; and Darren Gregory of Gainsville, VA.
She also leaves 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Glenda; husband, Darrell; and grandson, Adam.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, April 15, 2021 at the Crosspointe Church in Crescent with Pastor Mark LeMarr officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland-Knowles Cemetery.
