Bob was born in Two Rivers on August 12, 1926 to Clarence and Ella (Gloe) Becker. He was a 1944 graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc before proudly serving his country as a member of the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict. The couple resided in Atlanta for many years where they started a food kitchen program, transferring food from local grocery stores to a Soup Kitchen for those individuals in need. Bob and Toni also volunteered many hours at the Ronald McDonald House in Atlanta. After returning to Two Rivers, Bob and Toni will be remembered by many as being " adopted grandparents" to many grade school children at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic School.

Robert retired after many years of employment with the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) where he served as district manager; he was always there to help others in need and had a great love for kids, especially love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a 4th degree lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus.
