Tommy was born and raised in McComb, MS. He was a 1971 graduate of McComb High School. He was retired
from Pike County Board of Supervisors Maintenance. He loved all things outdoors – hunting, fishing, riding his
motorcycle, target shooting, hunting arrow heads and other outdoor sports. He was young at heart and always
enjoyed life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Claude H. & Mamie Prescott Simmons and his sister Wanda "Wandie"
Dunaway.
He is survived by his daughter Tara McConnell; grand-daughter Katy McConnell; brother in law Phil Dunaway and a
multitude of friends and family.
A graveside service will be held at Silver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at
10:00 AM with Dr. David Millican officiating. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
