Robert L. Winters, passed quietly away at Runk and Pratt Senior living at Smith Mountain Lake in Hardy Virginia. He resided in Marion Indiana for 90 years before recently moving to be near family.

Robert was born October 29, 1930 in Marion, Indiana the son of the late Fred and Edna (Mossberg) Winters. He was an Air Force veteran and married his beautiful bride Mildred "Midge" Wheadon on June 6, 1954. After enjoying 48 years of happy times and laughter together Midge preceded him in death on March 22, 2002. Bob worked at Delco Radio as a tool and die maker, retiring in 1995.

Bob is survived by a son, Robert E. (Lynn) Winters of Moneta, Virginia; two daughters, Rachelle "Chelli" (Mohammed) Ibrahim of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Linda "Lyn" (Gary) Easter of Simpsonvllle, South Carolina; brothers, Dick, Larry, James "Jim" Winters and a sister, Helen; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and best friend, Laura Tinkle.

Robert was preceded in death by two of his dear children; son, Michael Allen McClanahan, and daughter, Sharon Lee Gibson. Also gone on before him are brothers; Harry, Bill, and Fred Jr., sisters, Shirley, Marjorie, Mary Louise and Betty; and two grandchildren, Jay and Kimmie.

Friends and family may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will follow funeral services in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Marion (Huntington County), Indiana.

Bob, a firm believer in Jesus Christ who cherished the word of God and read his Bible through many times is rejoicing in his eternal home.
