Troy was the son of Thomas Harrison McDaniel and Rebecca Josephine (Smith) Merritt McDaniel.

Troy and Gladys Sarah Forrester were married November 13, 1913 in Chattanooga, Comanche County, Oklahoma. They had four sons. All four were ministers.

4--Richard Erving Dixon [1921-????]

OBITUARY:

SERVICES HELD FOR TROY C. McDANIEL

Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the Assembly of God Church, Minco, for Troy C. McDaniel, who passed away Saturday morning in an El Reno hospital. Rev. Gene Richie, Norman officiated and was assisted by Re. Vernon Shay, local pastor.

T.C. McDaniel passed away at the age of 72 years and was born August 30, 1890 and was a retired farmer. His wife died in July 1957.

Survivors include four sons, Ralph McDaniel, Minco; Clarence McDaniel, Oroville, Calif.; Myrle McDaniel, Midland, Texas. and Richard McDaniel, Coweta; two sisters, Mrs. J.A. Anderson, Frederick and Mrs. Dollie Garcia, Los Angeles; and one brother, T.J. McDaniel, Hale Center, Tex.

Music rendered was "How Beautiful Heaven Must Be", "No Tears In Heaven: and "Sweet Bye and Bye" sung by Mrs.Adrain Garrett, Mrs. Rex Ronsome, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Englebretson
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur King. They were accompanied by Mrs. Vernon Shay on the piano.

Pallbearers were Dale Gilliland, Adrain Garrett, Lloyd Warren, Don Harris, Don Coy and Harold Smith.

Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Reynold Funeral Home.

The two pictures of Uncle Troy were taken at my Grandmother's, a sister to Troy. The pictures were in her box of pictures. I have the platform rocker that is in the 2nd picture. I do not have a picture of Troy's headstone.

Troy was my Grand-Uncle.
