Earl W. Blake was born July 8, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas, son of Willie Lee and Flora Pennington Blake.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was a graduate of Arkadelphia High School. He loved his family and was an avid hunter, fisherman, photographer and musician.

He was a faithful member of Victory Temple Church of God in Christ, where he served as a deacon. In his 65th season of life on April 3, 2021, he traded time for eternity.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two of his brothers, Lawrence and Louis Blake.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon, and his children: Teresa Blake, Destiny (Daniel) Cooper, John (Aleasa) Watson and Jennifer (Brian) Rhodes.

There are many others left to cherish his memories, including his siblings: Willie, Jr. (Sallie) Blake of Tucson, Arizona; Donnie Blake of Dallas, Texas; Julia (William) McGrew of Tucson, Arizona, Mary Mitchell of Kansas City, Missouri; and Florene Murphy of Dallas, Texas; one uncle, Nathaniel Blake of Crossett, Arkansas and one aunt, Pearl Hubbard of Killeen, Texas; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He also leaves behind a special friend, Mack Turner, whom he loved like a brother.

Public visitation will from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Williams Funeral Home. Services to commemorate his life will be shared on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Arkadelphia Recreation Center in Feaster Park with Pastor Darryl Maxwell, officiating and eulogist. The committal service and final resting place will be in Curtis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Cooper, Aaron Hunter Jr., Larry Hunter, Brian Rhodes, John Watson and Deacon Donald R. Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be Donnie Blake, Freddie Hunter, Willie Blake Jr., Randy Marks, Jonathan Hilliard, Mack Turner and Anthony Johnson.
