Ms. Shirley Cupp Hammons, age 80, wife of the late Ray Hammons of East Highway 552, Lily, Kentucky passed away on Thursday evening at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, Kentucky.
She was the mother of David Ray Hammons of Woodbine, Kentucky, Donald Boyce Hammons of Lily, Kentucky and Ronald Royce Hammons of London, Kentucky and Teresa Annalee Burton of Somerset, Kentucky. She was the sister of Ernest Cupp of St. Louis, Missouri. She was the grandmother of Jared Martin Hammons, Donnie Lee Hammons and Josh Hammons all of London, Kentucky, Danny Hammons and Jessica Hammons both of Lily, Kentucky, Michelle Royal of South Carolina and Courtney Arnett of Jacksonville, Florida. She was also blessed with a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith and a member of the Old Union Holiness Church in London, Kentucky and a retired school bus driver for the Laurel County Board of Education. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, David Cupp and Margie Bryant Cupp.
Funeral services for Ms. Shirley Cupp Hammons are PRIVATE with Pastor Bobby Helton officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery in London, Kentucky.
