She was born on July 4, 1951.
Jannie was preceded in death by her soulmate of 47 years, Jimmy R. Anderson; one grandson, Reggie Brayboy; her birth mother, Annie Mae Berry; and her adoptive parents, Haywood Locklear and Maggie Locklear.
She is survived by three daughters: Julie Anderson of the home, Teresa Stephens of Pembroke NC, and Tammy Brayboy of Rockingham NC; two grandsons, Christian Ray Stephens and Nathan Stephens; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three brothers: Jimmy Locklear of Pembroke NC, Will Berry of Pembroke NC, and Vernon Locklear of Pembroke NC; two sisters, Ethel Scott of Maxton NC and Rachel Oxendine of Fairmont NC; four adoptive sisters: Vanessa Locklear of Pembroke NC, Thelma Evans of Pembroke NC, Helen Clark of Pembroke NC, and Clarkie Locklear of Pembroke NC; a friend, Betty Clark; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral services will be held in Revels Funeral Home Pembroke, 407 Breece St, Pembroke, NC 28372.
