Patricia "Patsy" Fields
December 25, 1948 - March 30, 2021
Patricia Ruth Fields, known as Patsy to many, parted this life on March 30, 2021, at her sister's residence in Louisville, KY following a short battle with cancer. Born Christmas Day in 1948, she was a lifelong resident of Harlan County. A graduate of Evarts High School and went on to attend Eastern Kentucky University.

Patricia began her working career in 1968 as secretary to the Harlan County Treasurer. She kept this position until she was sworn into office as County Treasurer in July 1990 and retired from office in December of 2007. Patricia was a member of The Kentucky Association of County Treasurers and Finance Officers. Patricia was instrumental in the progress of Harlan County and served and assisted in various grants and businesses. Patricia served on the board of directors at The Laurels, Inc. a personal care home, for over thirty years and was still an active member upon her death.

Patricia was very active in church and taught Sunday School, served as church clerk and Treasurer and served on the State Administration Board for The Church of God of Prophecy. Over the past several years she had attended Harvest Worship Center and Harlan – New Hope Church of God.

Patricia was a dreamer, loved to travel, read and explore to new things. She loved spending time with family and friends but above all spending time in the Word of God.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Roy Fields and Margarette Norris Fields and one brother Grover Cleston Fields.

She is survived by Cozetta Fields of Olathe, KS. Roy (Carol) Fields and Eddie (Carolyn) Fields, of North Judson, IN. Dallas (Diana) Fields of Portage, IN. Randy (Debi and Amy) Fields of Hodgenville, KY. Lisa Pridemore of Pineville, KY. Sherry (Les) Cross of Olathe, KS. Rachel Scoville of Louisville, Ky. Sister of the heart – Rhonda Williamson. Special Friends - Ollie McGregor, Donna Jordan and Vivian Wynn. A host of nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces, and great-great nephews and nieces. As well as other family and friends.
