Virginia was born in Wichita, Kansas on 8 May 1926, to Charles and Cecilia (Sponsel) Dougherty.
She worked as a secretary for many years.
She was a long-time member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
Virginia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and is missed very much!
In addition to her parents, Virginia was predeceased by her son, Bill King.
Left to cherish her memory are Virginia's husband, Virgil O. King; their children, Barbara (Virgil) Allen, David King, Joan Cash, and Marsha (Joseph) Costelow; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Virginia's family suggests that those wishing to do so may make Memorial contributions in her name to either the American Cancer Society or the National Alzheimer's Association.
Mass will be held at the Corpus Christi Catholic church at 11 A.M., on Thursday, 15 April 2021, followed by interment in the Fort Jackson Memorial Cemetery.
