Mary "Jean" Nixon, passed away on April 11, 2021.
Preceded in death by her parents William and Mary King Jordan.
She is survived by her husband, John B. Nixon, to whom she was wed for 62 years, and her children, Barry Nixon, Cathy (David) Hill, and Wendy Nixon. She had 6 grandchildren: Michael Nixon, Blake Nixon, Collin Nixon, Rebecca Hill, Ellen Hill and John David Hill.
Jean graduated from Hillsboro High School, Vanderbilt University and obtained a master's degree at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from three to five in the afternoon on Friday, April 16th in the parlor at Harpeth Presbyterian Church. A private committal ceremony for family will be held at Middle Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery.
