Janice Thomas-Stagner, 62, of Casselton, ND, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021, at Sanford Medical Center, in Fargo, ND.
Janice was born May 2, 1958, in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, to John and Jane (McCanless) Campbell. They moved a great deal while she was growing up, due to her father serving in the US Marine Corps. She eventually made her home in Casselton, ND., with her life partner, Rich Haarstad.
Jan spent most of her life in the service industry and caring for others. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, taking in animals, and collecting trinkets. She loved surrounding herself with her friends and family, and enjoyed conversing with their neighbors.
Jan found joy in the simplest things in life and will be deeply missed by her friends and family.
Jan is survived by her life partner, Rich; children, Jeff Stagner, Mapleton, ND; LesLee Stagner, Arthur, ND; granddaughter, Olivia Stagner; sister, Nancy Erdmann, Leonard; nieces and nephews, Deana (Brian) Siekmann, Sarah (Chris) Walberg, Shawn (Dani) Erdmann, Nick Erdmann, Darcee Erdmann; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jane; sister, Cathy Campbell; sons, Jason and Jake Thomas; and brother-in-law, Mike Erdmann.
The family would like to extend a special thanks, to Al and Lana Kaufman and Lynn Madsen, for all of the care and comfort they provided Jan.
A Celebration of Jan's Life will be held from 2-5pm on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Jeff's home, Mapleton, ND.
