Daniel Gonzalez Jr. was born on January 27, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas and went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Olga Monsalve, and his father, Daniel Gonzalez Sr.
His love for the Lord was reflected in his kindhearted nature and humbleness, and those who met him greatly admired him. After having served in the Air Force for five years, he went on to become an exemplary firefighter in the San Antonio Fire Department in April 1977.
He had a long distinguished career that aligned with his passion for helping people, and retired as a Captain in August 2011 after 34 years of brave service to his community. Always ready to help and encourage those around him to strive for their goals, he has served as an inspiration and source of motivation to so many.
He was a devoted, loving and caring husband, father and brother whose memory will forever be cherished dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years children, siblings, other relatives and many friends.
