Mrs. Stella May DeLashmutt, widow of George M. DeLashmutt, died suddenly at her home, 810 Trail Ave., Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, aged 61 years. She was stricken suddenly with a cerebral hemorrhage and was found on the floor of the dining room, where she died before a physician could arrive. The county medical examiner and Sheriff Horace M. Alexander were called and death was pronounced due to natural causes.
She was a daughter of the late Samuel E. and Alice Null Shaw. She was a member of Calvary Methodist church and King's Daughters Bible class of the church school, and the Sons and Daughters of Liberty Lodge, No. 12.
Surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. Charles S. Cramer, at home; two sons, George Edward DeLashmutt, at home, and Maurice S. DeLashmutt, Frederick. Two brothers and one sister, Charles Shaw, Frederick and S. Edward Shaw, Reisterstown, and Miss Emma Shaw, Gaithersburg, and four grandchildren also survive.
The body is at the funeral home, 106 East Church street, and will be taken to her home this morning from where the funeral will take place Thursday after noon at two o'clock. Interment in Mt. Olivet cemetery. M. R. Etchison and son, funeral directors.
