Pensacola - Steven Richard Cox, 67, of Pensacola, FL died unexpectedly at his residence on April 9, 2021.
Steven was born on March 26, 1953, to Merlin and Rita Cox in New Orleans, LA. He graduated from George P. Butler High School in Augusta, GA. Upon graduating high school, Steven joined the United States Air Force.
He retired from West Florida Pensacola Public Library, where he drove the Book Mobile for more than 25 years. Steven enjoyed visiting with the many patrons of the library. He loved to read, and enjoyed the Gulf of Mexico.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memories include his sister, Merlene Beck of Navarre, FL., brothers Eugene Cox of Navarre, FL., and David Cox (Ninette) of Oriskany, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.
A private inurnment will be held at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, FL
