Jean L. Brooks, 91, a native of Coalinga, CA passed away on April 10, 2021 in Madera. She was born to Clyde and Lucy Deen Blackwell and attended local schools in Coalinga. Jean was a graduate of Coalinga High class of 1948, where she was very active in sports and lettered in Track. Her life was full with hunting, fishing, camping and anything outdoors. She excelled in Skeet shooting and had many great adventures with the Camper Clubs such as Fresno Central Valley Campers and "We-Go-R-Ways". Jean was an avid Bowler and belonged too many of Madera's Bowling Leagues as well as playing "Bunco".

Jean worked as an Account Clerk for the Madera County Engineering Department. Upon her retirement in 2010, Jean was recognized for being the longest serving employee in Madera County History. Her dedicated years of service spanned over 58 years.

She is preceded by her parents; a brother Murray Blackwell, her Husband Red Brooks and her companion of 42 years David Moosios.

Jean is survived by Ernie and Stella, Christopher and Jeffrey Moosios long time family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, April 19, 2021 from 4:00 pm -7:00 pm at Jay Chapel, Madera, CA

A crypt side service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Arbor area of Arbor Vitae Cemetery.
