Eric W. Smith, 49, of Toledo, passed away on April 10, 2021. Eric was born on February 12, 1972, in Toledo to Henry Smith and Rosemary (Zientkiewicz) Moore.
He was always himself no matter where he was or who he was with. Eric was the same person all the time. He was consistently himself and never too good for a good time. Eric could make friends anywhere and when he showed up to an event, you knew the atmosphere was about to change for the better. He was always the first to dance, first to help out, first to clean up, and last to leave. A true friend and a character full of heart.
He is survived by his children, Gregory and Benjamin; siblings, Jeffrey (Shelby) Lemke, Denise Carr, Daniel Flood, Lisa Smith, Julie Desmond, Brian Smith, Leslie (Tracey) Smith; and many nieces and nephews.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Andrea Smith and Vicki Johnson.
Funeral Services will begin on Friday, April 16, 2021, at 3:00 pm. at the funeral home. The family will receive guests on Friday from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Sylvania Chapel, 3655 King Road, Toledo.
