Robert Lawson Lovett, a conservationist, Robert's passion in life was research and propagation of conifers – creating the Lovett Pinetums in Springfield, Missouri and in Lufkin, Texas.
Growing up in Scottsbluff, Nebraska was the foundation for his goodness. He attended college and medical school at the University of Iowa, with a residency in pathology at Kansas University Medical Center. Robert was a pathologist at Cox Medical Center for 25 years.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Ivan C. Lovett and Blanche L. Lovett. He is survived by his wife Priya, his children Susan (husband Duane), Steven (wife Martha), Jill, John (wife Julie) and Paul, and his 10 grandchildren. He leaves behind his sister Susan (husband Clare) and his niece and nephew.
There was a private burial.
